2# Deviating from morality; straying from the right way.
3# (biology) Deviating from the ordinary or natural type; exceptional; abnormal.

I'm thinking I won't call the creatures I draw mutants anymore. It's too simple a word and does set them apart from anything else really, and by contrast aberrant is a wonderful sounding word!

.....unless you're talking about heart surgery. Aberrant internal organs are only helpful when fighting ninja assassins. *movie spoiler thar*
