Oh, so you did. But I like the Vulpixes better. The evolutions are cool, but they don'tr have the same innocent and small cutewness and most of them lost the more elegant part of Ninetales. They're still good, but not as lovely as I'd hoped. Then again, Rhyperior and Emboar aren't exactly beauty queens, are they? XD

yeah, hopefully the next time someone requests them I'll be able to do more graceful breeds. The biggest issue I had was making Quarry and Lucha bulkier, which I'm still wondering if it took too much away from the essential form of ninetales.

You did what you could, but I see the hesitation. It's one thing to try to have the other pokemon appear within the design noticeably, but it's another thing to actually balance them so neither is more dominant. I believe it is a case-by-case scenario here. It depends on the pokemon involved which you should go for and to what degree of the first. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide whether or not you did it justice. If it pleases you, then you did it right. If not, take constructive criticism and hope to do better next time. A sign of a good artist is someone who is constantly striving to get even better, whether it be because they disappoint themself or because they just want to produce work of even higher quality.

For the most part, I try to maintain the sillouette of the character. If the major components of the pokemon aren't present, I can't say its a variant. Hopefully I'm accomplishing that.
