It's good to see you going for some more minimalist gags (less layered) recently.
Of course the heavy gags are fabulous, but I'm liking your take on simpler ones. The expressions really sell them.

Actual answer: because cartoons are built off exaggeration. It's why anime girls have gigantic eyes, or why their mouths can vary from a tiny speck to 80% of their face. An artist will exagerrate certain features on a character to more strongly communicate a specific idea.
If the point of the picture is "bro look how big that gag is", then it makes sense to exaggerate the size of the mouth to more prominently display that idea.

It comes down to what you like. I think Jam pulls off the stylization very well, but if it's not your cup of tea there's plenty of bondage art around that's grounded more firmly in realism. Faile35 might be more your style.
