I guess what I fear is getting married to the wrong person, not the actual idea of marriage. Oh, and the actual wedding. Yikes! *LOL* I have seen too many episodes of "Bridezillas".

Yes but that is always the risk we take. That's why you should never let anyone rush you into marriage. I think I would have to live with the guy awhile first. It's almost like being married.

Oh the wedding part does give me a headache just to think about it. Yikes is exactly the right word, lol. (If I ever get married I might just elope.)

Oh and I don't watch that, most of them are too much of a perfectionist, too selfish & just get too caught up in the details. Seriously who the fuck cares if you get white roses instead of lilies? That doesn't make or break a marriage, if it does then that person is seriously fucked up. It should be about just you & the other person. That's why it comes back around again to the idea of eloping. (Wedding planners & other ppl always trying to make the details important & push things on you just to get more money.) Fuck that.

This is very true. I thought I'd found the one I wanted to be with forever when I was much younger (I'm only 25, btw) and planned this whole life that got shattered. I am glad we didn't get married or have children because it would have made things worse.

*LOL* I never believed the whole "big church wedding" thing was for me. I think I'd be much happier getting married in Vegas.
