Description
Finally, here's my Shaowind entry for Chloodle!! (A contest on QU)My theme was Maple TreeπΈ
Design choices:
I incorporated the maple tree with the leaves and color palette. Then I researched a little and found that maple trees represent ancient & tolerance, and wanted to make sure her backstory has a bit of that tied into it. Maple trees also are known for loosing there leaves, and basically producing food for worms and other stuff living in the ground. I made sure to add this by making her hooves stained with mud/dirt, as she has "walked through the mud of many moons." Now for spider webs, they represent mystery, power, and growth. This is included in her backstory and personality. I also made sure to add some webs in the design to show that she has "weaved her own life." Along with the time idea, I made her staff into an hourglass shap, as well as the magic gem inside it (it's also a red diamond like a black widow
Traits:
Common: gradient in tail monster fur
Uncommon: horns, has tail monster with horns
Now for the rest of her! (Oh man so much writing already ;"))
Personality:
Her name is Timi ("Tee-mee") which represents positivity and spiritually. Through her life she had always focused on the positive side of things, but handled it in a mature way. She tends to be independent most of the time and only go near the rest of the Shaowinds if there is a celebration or she's in need of greater assistance in something. Most of the Shaowinds view her as a mysterious mare with many secrets. Timi doesn't talk about herself as much as most would, therefore the lack of Shaowinds interacting with her. Her tail creature, Min (might change later?) is also very calm most of the time. He usually asks Timi in a semi-respectful way for magic when he needs it, and rarely interacts with others.
Backstory:
As a filly, Timi and Min were constantly fighting with eachother. She hated the idea that she had to give this creature whatever it wants at any time, and tried revolting a few times. With each revolt, Timi suffered the consequences of sudden draining of her energy, and soon learned that she needed to listen to Min in order to survive. Her guardian had always tried to help Timi break out of her she'll and interact with others, but all she wanted to do was observe from the side of the village with her mother at her side. During her teen years, Timi's mother had passed away, due to a sudden fight with her tail creature. Her mother's death only caused Timi to wall herself off from others even more. She no longer observed others, and resorted to staying inside, thinking about her life. When she became an adult mare, Timi was called to become a parent. She was definitely worried about the idea, but she thought it would be a nice change of environment. She was given a filly by the name of Nia, and adored her. The two would walk deep into the forest most of the time, and observed the plants and animals that lived there. Timi did her best to raise the child, but her efforts had been too mature and orderly for the filly, which caused Nia to run to the forest's edge, a place Timi didn't dare to go until now. She searched for her daughter until nightfall, where she found Nia laying on the ground, her tail monster's eyes fading of its luminescent light. They were dead. Timi carried her deceased daughter back to the village, where they held a solemn burial ceremony. After her emotions died down, Timi took a few for years to think. After her reflection, she decided to become a birth ceremony helper. She would watch the children of her village be born, and remember her beloved daughter. Though she is a wise and reserved mare, she still makes sure she keeps her valuables safe; her village and its future.
(Good god if you read through this whole thing you deserve a gold star βοΈ)
