Description
This version of Cell appears in the Ultimate Saga (an equivalent of the Buu Saga) of my Dragon Ball What if...What makes him different?
1st he's not from the future like in the regular timeline, in this reality after Namek Saga the earth was attacked by the joined forces of Slug and Turles (I know some people might think I took this idea from xenoverse but I came with it a couple years ago), during the invasion the RR Drone took DNA samples of Slug, Turles (in this version Slug regained his youth using juice/sap from the tree of might which according to Akira Toriyama - The World "Anime Special" can bring fossils back to life so why not restore someones youth?)
Thanks to this additional DNA and samples of the extract from the tree this Cell was fully developed about 7 years after the android saga.
He also no longer needs to absorb #17 and #18 (but he still posseses the ability to absorb in this form), like Frieza this Cell can transform on his own, this transformation is his Mighty form which looks similiar to a regular Cell's Perfect form.
In this form Cell Battles Piccolo, Tien and Krillin, he's about as strong As Super/USsj Vegeta (during Android Saga).

Well if I ever get down to write this story (I'm thinking about doing it something like MasakoX does with his what if's)
I plan for this Cell to encounter Cooler (and absorbing him), I'm not very good at coming up with stuff and some of my ideas have been used before I got the chance to do them first (like making Turles and Slug allies), soo... I don't know when I'll finaly get my sh*t together and start writing

Well that's the plan, for example in my what if there is no Cell saga or cell games, instead I want to have an all out battle royale android saga and later I plan a variation on the movie 9 tournament, during which Gohan goes super saiyan 2 (because he does not transform during the android saga).

Love your story for him, I thought it was present cell, in a timeline where, cell wasn't destroyed because future cell told piccolo about the lab, so present cell has the DNA of perfect cell and the Jr's, and possibly with majin buu, sense the buu saga would happen before present cell would be born, making him look this way.
