Description I wasn't quite sure what category this fit into. It ended up in Macabre and Horror because yes, that funky looking implement that he's using to sign the paper is tapped into his blood stream for its ink. Hey, they say the most binding of contracts is written in blood, right? I did my best to make the person very androgynous, but am referring to it as a he. Mostly because he looks a lot like my sort of elf character Jhal. Am working on a more detailed, shaded, and colored version of this. But for now, the black and white basic ink drawing will have to abate your curiosity for a while I guess.

Any ideas as to where you think I ought to go with this?

I am really into Greek mythology right now, so this really caught my attention.

It's so eerie and has a sci-fi feel. I love mixing classical sorts of things with modern or futuristic sorts of things! That's such a great effect!

I saw another comment that mentioned "blind Justice" and I thought the very same thing when I saw this! - I can see a LOT of Nemesis [goddess of Justice] in this drawing. -The blindfold, of course, and the swing-thing that the human is hanging in is reminiscent of a set of scales.

It's absolutely beautiful. Very creepy.

this is badass. It's similar to a few of my drawings. I love this style. It's simple and sleek and not busy at all. And I love black & white is another reason

Wow. This is one of the best horror-ish pix I have ever seen. The whole idea is so very frightening, but you drew it so elegantly & in such a simple style that it is ridiculously effective. Wow. Goddess, I love this picture. I fall down & worship your talent.

I really like the simplicity of it. The concept is cool too. It reminds me of what it's like being a writer-of poetry, short stories and things. It's like I have a devotion to writing, and I am trapped with it for life, suspended by my sleepless state of stupor writing off my mind.

I think you have too little pageviews for that talent. Such underappreciation. :\

definitely alot of thought behind this. bnw is obvious so is the fates. but i also see something along the lines of justice (the female blind statue) very good

The post looks very natural and realistic, and the pulleys look like they're really holding her weight, which must be hard to pull off. Great work! I''d love to see this digitally colored, maybe with a rather dingy palatte save for one or two focus colors?

I would love to do that. But, I am not even half the artist you are on the computer. I've tried to digitally color pictures, with horrendous, disasterous results. It looks like I'll have to settle for markers or colored pencils. I do like your idea about the colors though, and that one seems to be do-able... So we'll see, I guess.

Hmmms, very interesting concept. Oddly enough, it makes me think of the book I just finished reading for my Hinduism & Buddhism class. Anyroad, in this book, the idea of disconnecting oneself from the material world is continually brought up b/c this world leaves us as prisoners of our own perceptions. And this piece just makes me think of how most Westerners, indeed, most of humanity is so tied into this very material existence that in essense we are signing ourselves over to Fate, and allowing her to make us repeat our mistakes endlessly until we learn to disconnect ourselves and attain true freedom.

Ahem...ok...lecture'y stuff aside, I really like this rather disturbing piece. Then again, I'm rather a disturbing little person myself, so go fig! ^_^
