I doodled this amongst my notes in class the other day. We were learning how metal-metal bonds contribute to magnetism, which is absolutely fascinating!... Then here I am today, skipping class and uploading this to dA. The class is at 9am, and though that may seem late to most of you it's freakin' early for me. I don't do well before 9am, so the fact that I need to wake up at 7am kills me.
I hope I didn't miss anything too important...

I'm just glad I chose to stay in academia. If I can't get up in the morning for something I love, how on earth would I be able to get up for a job I hated??

It's easier because you're getting up for what you love. It can also sometimes be harder though, if you have an 8am that's a class you hate or have to take. I don't think I went to more than three of my econ classes for that reason.

If I can ask, what makes you hate chemistry so much? If you just hate it because it rubs you the wrong way, that's cool. I can relate to that because it's how I view economics *shudder*

it's more of a teacher issue. I hated economics because it was economics and most people hate it, but I had a horrible teacher for chemistry. I mean this lady was 100% crazy and I had her chemistry class 1st period B days, then world history, and then I had her again for earth space 3rd period. Not a fun year. Fun fact: that year I was hospitalized for suicidal thoughts partly because the stress she was putting me under.

That sucks dude. It's partially because of teachers like her that I want to become a professor--so students will know what it's like to have a kick-ass teacher!!
