The color reminds me of a type of wasp we have around my house...they are viscous little Buggers....
So You hit more in the area of wasp for me than mosquito

Mosquito mech is a perfect name, really. But if you want to change the name, simply take a random number with no more than three digits and put the letter "M" in front of said number. (Add an "X" next to the first letter if it's experimental.)
For instance, "XM68 'Mosquito'"

I love the concept the shading down at the feet looks a little off but the contrast between the purple and the gold is gorgeous. I love it ^_^

Salamander, cause its light, and mobile, or better yet. Gazelle, cause its light, and looks fast.

This defiantly could be a new unmanned Orbital frame from Zone of the Enders! I mean the lighting in the frame the arms and legs. I love it.

I think the model should be called the Thunderblood Assault Mech (TAM). The jagged purple/black etchings & the bright yellow main color remind me of lightning, & I can definitely see this mech ripping through enemies before you can blink. It could also be a stealth model with a different color scheme.
