I wouldn't call it/her a high poly modell so far but for those who like numbers:
Original Claire ingame: ~ 8.700 vertices; ~ 15.000 faces
Reworked Version: ~ 40.000 vertices; ~ 74.000 faces
Biiig thank you! to LittleMissWesker, who allowed me to use her version of this model
The model works in XPS and in XNA. Work using in XNA just copy the .mesh- file in the
"for XNA"- folder in the main directory and replace the .mesh- file for XPS.

I've always wondered if that collar was a tracking collar or GPS collar or something along the lines of that unless she wore it before she went to Rockford.Β

James-T-Havoc In reply to KiandraTama [2019-08-06 14:51:01 +0000 UTC]
That wouldn't be that much useful. She wasn't supposed to roam freely on the island anyway. Why give her tracking collar when she was supposed to sit in a cell?
Asides from that she would have removed it, if it wasn't hers.

So Can I Upload her in my "Xps "! ? (Xnaara ? )Β
Or Do i Need To Copy her To "Xps "! ?

There is a second folder in the download, which is called "for XNA". Inside there is file namend "generic_item".mesh".
You copy this file and paste it into the regular folder where the rest of all the datas are. When asked if you want to replace the .mesh- file hit "yes".
The take this folder and move it into your model folder for XNA.

I don't have Skyrim nor the tools or the knowledge to convert a model from xps to Skyrim.

Whats the problem with Win8?

dionn12345678910 In reply to James-T-Havoc [2014-07-31 17:02:17 +0000 UTC]
unless you have direct x 9 before upgrading to win 8 everything utau gets weird , resamplers dont work have to run on win 2000 based version, more glitches and lagging , cant run pmd/ pmx editors, cant do modeling for mmd or converts. Can only run mmd everything that runs on a dll files nbasicly really need updated to win 8 or youll see way to many issues.

yeah but 2 months ago i lost 3 pcs to xp so i smashed the disc and told microsoft after finding out they hacked me and yes i traced the viruse to there updates and they admitted to it. Si i gave them 3 pages of bad things since i lost 2 years work and a cgi movie of furries i was making thanks to them :/
Β So i will never downgrade again even if its to run pmd editor lowest ill go is 7 pu my epmloyer screwed me over $4000 so i cant afford to get win 7 :/
π: 0 β©: 1
James-T-Havoc In reply to dionn12345678910 [2014-07-31 18:38:31 +0000 UTC]
Well, I wouldn'tΒ recommend anyone to downgrade lower than Vista and who the needs Vista when there is Win7...
So downgrade to 7 seems the best and cheapest solution.
Viruses via Updates? I know that MS "infect" your PC, when you do auto- updates and their software notice a illegal copy.
They start to cut down the entire functionality of the OS to a minimum.
We had a big case illegal sold copy from windows here in Germany where a company called "PC Fritz" sold thousands of Windows Copys for a very low price.
They looked like legal ones but they weren't.
You are sure, that you didn't felt for something similar?

dionn12345678910 In reply to James-T-Havoc [2014-07-31 18:57:47 +0000 UTC]
No i didnt get an illegal thing or anthing it came straight from microsoft website and i contacted there main email and everything made sure. So threw xp updates and people i know who used xp says xp is the worst thing to been made besides win 8. An personally i agree. So i didnt get a fake xp disc with the install codes and it wasnt cheap at all when i first got it.

neat model, I kinda was hoping her skin would stay the original pale color from the original model. still, its an amazing model
π: 0 β©: 1
James-T-Havoc In reply to lilquickster [2013-12-24 12:45:25 +0000 UTC]
Fun fact: I make a similar "remake" from her RE2 outfit, where I keep her pale skincolor. Just like the original.
But later I've read some comments of those who used her for their pictures, that they dont like her skintone.
Too pale, look like a zombie and all that. So I decided to make the CVX variant less pale even if doesnt fit to the idea of a basic retexure anymore.

Can I use yer CV Claire to make a new Claire model... Super thanks...
π: 0 β©: 1
James-T-Havoc In reply to KitMartin [2013-11-18 16:58:09 +0000 UTC]
Yes, you can use her.
But maybe you should take care, that her specualar- and minibumb- maps "survive" the melt with another modelpart.
(Happend on your last Claire- mod)

omg! I really newbie in modeling..
and I'm kinda don't have Idea on bumb maps?
teehee...Β Β
π: 0 β©: 2
James-T-Havoc In reply to KitMartin [2013-11-18 21:02:49 +0000 UTC]
Well, simply said, minibumpmaps can be used to simulate surfaces like (in this case) the structure of leather and jeans so it these surfaces look more realistic on close view.
If you melt to models with XPS, the program turn the specular value and the minibump repeater down to 0. This deactivate both shadereffects.

KitMartin In reply to James-T-Havoc [2013-11-19 01:34:52 +0000 UTC]
Super thanks!! Yer explanation is easy to understand.. I notice this thing, whenever I merge the two object using xps, is there any way too bring back the minibumbmaps?
π: 0 β©: 1
James-T-Havoc In reply to KitMartin [2013-11-19 18:30:57 +0000 UTC]
Yes, there is a way. You just have to save your model in .mesh.ascii- format (modify/ save generic_item -> mark "save as generic_item.mesh.ascii" & "make generic item")
Then you open this new file with notepad and search for the lines, where the meshgroups are listed. Easy way: Edit/search + "uv"
There you will find something like this (youre last Claire model for example)
23_Knifeholster_0_0_0
1 # uv layers
7 # textures
G:\Downloads neu\XPS_10.8.9\XPS_10.8.9\data\RE 2 Claire no vest\ClaireBodyD.png
0 # uv layer index
...
The first zero is for specular maps. You have to set atleast on 0.1 to aktivate the spec maps. The second and third zeros are the bumpmap repeater.
For the pants of my RE2 Claire I've set the first repeater to 34 and the second to 2. But this is something you may try by yourself.
If you are finished with your settings, save the file and load the modell into XPS via modify/load generic item.

James-T-Havoc In reply to KitMartin [2013-11-20 16:55:13 +0000 UTC]
Yes, there is.
And its way easier thanΒ reactivate speculars and minibumps.

Thanks. Yepp, in her case it was really necessary. Capcom should have realised Darkside Chronicles an PS3 first and then on Wii.
I suppose in that case she would have way better textures from beginning.

I don't know. What kind of a browser and system do you use?
Download issues are mostly caused by the browser. If you use Firefox in his newest version, try another browser like Internet Explorer, Chrome etc.
