I like how you create the map to have a statue coming out from the object. The render looks brilliant too, with detailed textures and scratches, it would make this work even look impressive. I see big talents in you in compositioning the colors and combining the elements together. It suits the image perfectly.

Achieved Satori and now slowly becoming one with the "ALL". O.D.D.> I find it hard to believe that you are an overlooked artist with work of this quality!!

Yes, well, beyond just the usual lack of skill in self-promotion, some of us have a perverse talent for being overlooked. Even though Google finds ten thousand references to me, I only get spam in my mailbox. Hence I am here at dA, where at least I am making some friends.

Hi There!
You have just earned yourself an O.D.D. feature ! congrats!
Today's theme is 3D Digital Artwork
ODDS (oibyrd's daily deviations) are to honor the sometimes overlooked artists of dA that I personally think deserve some exposure and also, to introduce the more popular artists to the new/overlooked deviants. I prefer to showcase ALL artwork that I love (and that includes popular artists) in order to create a non-biased feature of the talent on dA Please click the link below to see your work featured and to view other featured artists . If you prefer not to be a featured artist, just send me a note and I will remove you from the list. Cheers! Sandi xoxo

In the program Poser, I set up a simple scene with ground plane, background and readymade woman posed in a lotus position.
I then used an old aviation map for the texture and bump maps on both the ground plane and the woman, and a sky photo for the background. Then I readered the composition and imported the result into Photoshop, where I made it look a little bit more like a painting and added some small stuff. And this is the result...or, this is one of many results. See three others here: [link] [link] [link]
