How far out did you have to drive to find that farm?

Sweet. I live in LA. I have to drive 2hrs+ to find rural areas like this. And right now my money for gas is limited.

I'm usually happy about the fact that I live in the countryside, although a city like LA would be pretty darn exciting. I kinda envy you for all the opportunities there. Not the earthquakes though.

Yeah it is cool to shot here. But the biggest problem is that you can just shot anywhere. Many places want you to pay for a permit or they just won't let you shoot in there place at all. (Thank 9/11 and the Patriot Act) I was shooting my friends family at this public park in Manhattan Beach CA and a park attendant stopped me and said I needed a permit to shoot! Are you Kidding me! One photographer I know shot a model near and around the Nokia Theater area and he was chase away by security. It depends! If you forthright about what your doing you will be ok. If you ask or call ahead of time and ask places there photography policy they may let you shoot if you just some Joe-shmoe with a camera. Buy if your some well established photographer they might try to get money off of you.
Just In LA you have to learn the protocols in some places. And you have to know your rights.

Sounds too complicated. Out here in the midwest things are more laid-back, and I like that aspect of life; but I know I'd like it there too, even with the complexities.

We did two different hair styles in our first shoot; this and all wet in the hot tub. Two is enough for one shoot, I thought she looked great with both. I'm hoping we'll shoot again soon.
