Another My Hero Academia OC I created. Meet Tenebra (Tenebra is the name she goes by, her actual name is Isabella but she hates being called that) better known as the hero Umbra Stygian!

Quirk: Shadow Step

Stepping through the shadows! This Quirk allows Tenebra to step through shadows and enter another dimension! This dimension of shadows connects almost all other shadows - meaning Tenebra can travel to almost any location on Earth using shadows. While in this realm, Tenebra is able to manipulate the energies of the shadow dimension - allowing her to basically bend time and space within the dimension. This explains why she is able to jump into one shadow and emerge from another one immediately - even if the second shadow is several yards away.

While this Quirk has great potential, there are some problems. The biggest is this: the shadow dimension Tenebra navigates is uncharted. Even the foremost experts in the hero community are unable to examine and understand what the realm is, as it seems to defy all attempts to study and understand it. Nobody knows how expansive the shadow dimension is... or what else inhabits it. Even Tenebra barely knows what all is in there. Every time she travels through the shadows, there is a risk that she may lose her concentration and get lost within the realm, never to return.

Another issue is that Tenebra's Quirk works best with clearly defined shadows. The fainter the shadow she tries to move through, the harder it is. Ironically, Tenebra needs bright light to use her Quirk best - and she hates bright light.

After some time training at UA, Tenebra realizes that she can channel the energies of the shadow dimension even further - whereas previously she could not use them in our dimension, she can do so after building up a charge of shadow energy by moving through the shadow dimension. However, the energy behaves erratically and can be dangerous to everyone - including Tenebra. The staff at UA advised her to refrain from using the energy outside of the shadow dimension. It remains to be seen if Tenebra will follow this advice.

Bio

Isabelle (aka Tenebra) is from a small suburb in Ohio. Unlike the rest of her chipper, bright and upbeat family, she is brooding and anti-social. She first discovered her Quirk when she wanted a way to avoid having to go to another boring family reunion as a child. Her parents wanted Izzy to attend UA, not so much to become a hero and fulfill some destiny, as much as to "make a proper person out of her" and get her out of her "goth phase." For her part, Izzy went to UA to get away from her parents and be her own person. In spite of this, Isabelle may find that she truly is meant to be a hero - and can do so on her own terms, no matter how unconventional her path to heroism is.

Izzy is blunt and taciturn, which rubs a lot of people the wrong way. But she also possesses a sharp wit and quick mind, letting her see to the heart of matters and act fast where it counts. Beneath her dark and brooding exterior beats a warm and loyal heart - the first two people to find this out are Rusty and Niko. Despite a rocky start, they found a stalwart friend in Tenebra, and the three became a solid trio of allies.
