Description
Commission for Iron Clad ."Trinity's Heart." This is a revolving chamber, wood stock, long barrel rifle. It's very clean, well maintained, and sets a high bar for pre-war weaponry. It's engraved with the images of feathers, running near and down along the barrel, a reminder of those who have fallen in battle. One of the earliest examples of the high tier craft to expect from the Gryphon Stone Armory.
I kind of zoned out to my times when playing Goldeneye on the N64, especially when I was working on the stock of the rifle. Back then I'd make strategy guides for my friends, for the sake of helping them with the hardest parts, or to unlock the secrets on each level. I also included drawings of each weapon that could be found on the level, and while working on this one I couldn't stop thinking of the sniper rifle you find on the first level of the game.
You rarely see a rifle with a revolving chamber (unless you play Borderlands) so I'm glad I've taken the time to draw one. Those feathers were crazy insane to work on, and also a lot of fun. I could've kept working on them for a good few more hours. I had to stop myself.
I hope you guys enjoy the picture!
Please, let me know what you think of it in the comments. I appreciate and every single one I receive.
Thank you!

Very nice, I want a rifle like this. ^^ Those feathers are quite detailed. thats the quality I aim for, and will reach eventually as I continue to develop my wing style. A question on how you create your outlines, ( you may have told me before already ) I believe you mentioned you start with a black outline, but then you color over the outline right ? or do you just use a very thin line that lets the color be more pronounced ? it also looks like the out lines vary in thickness, this looks like it helps provide depth to the piece. I will have to give that a try sometime, and see what I can do with it. I am also struggling with using a colored outline rather than just black. ill just have to experiment some more.

Yes, I start with a sketch done at 30% opacity, with the standard black color, and once I have it down, I ink it from there. From there to coloring and shading is a pretty simple process of working on another layer.
This one is a bit flat, however. I could've put more emphasis on the shadows, but if I had kept tweaking the picture I would've never finished it.
