Coat color: Dark Grey.

Hair and Tail: Hairless. His head is covered in chitin plates, and his tail is made out strands of really thin chitin squeezed together into a solid shape.

Place of residence: Las Pegasus.

Parents: None. Was born from one of Queen Chrysalis’ batches.

Closest relatives: Unknown (unless we count all the other drones that live in the Hive, and Queen Chrysalis herself).

Likes: Chrysalis, cinema, fear (his favorite emotion to elicit), horror movies, and rainstorms.

Dislikes: Chrysalis's ideas, saccharine happiness, happiness in general (too simple and boring for his tastes), anything that can be done easily, and Dadaism.

Bio:

Chelicera was born (or spawned) in the deepest caves of Queen Chrysalis’ Hive.

He has a particular knack for movies, especially horror movies. This all started when, at one point, he impersonated a pony before going on a date to the cinema, where he had a sudden realization. He was fascinated by the emotions that everypony exhibited over it, ranging from fear and sadness, to love and happiness. He then realized that the best way to feed off of said emotions was by harvesting them through the audiences at the movie theaters, so he brought this to his Queen. After arduous negotiations and long meetings, Chrysalis ended up giving him the authority to put together a task force to infiltrate the movie industry, her argument being that having so many Changelings under her command she can spare a few ones.

Chelicera then formed two teams. The first one is in Las Pegasus, working at the movie studios and ensuring that the movies produced are fitting to produce the specific emotions they need, and the other team works with the movie theater market to set up cinemas fit with the equipment needed to harvest emotions from ponies. He works closely with the first team, since his ability to use lighting and shadows to create mood and atmosphere enhances the emotions that ponies experience anytime they watch the movies. However, he still travels to the cinemas and works closely with the second team, to make sure that the cinemas are harvesting at peak capacity.

As for his dislike of Chrysalis’ Ideals, he worries that her plan for a massive invasion of Equestria would look nice in the short term, but that it will only result in completely draining all of the love from the land and forcing the Changelings to have to look for another new food source. He is more in favor of a sustained management of the ponies, slowly feeding off of them in ways that they won't notice and will be capable of regenerating from, turning them into an endless food supply.

Chelicera is egotistical, self-centered, and considers himself something of an artist and a scientist. He loves to manipulate the emotions of the ponies around him just so he can milk out varying combinations of them for his own consumption. If he ever shows any care or consideration for ponies it’s purely out of self-interest. For him they are both a source of sustenance and a source of amusement, and he’s more than willing to maintain that status quo. This also applies to his fellow Changelings. He might be working towards improving the life of the Swarm, but in the end he’s ensuring his own survival.
