I won't lie, I struggled a bit with this one, mostly due to not being used to having this much freedom when it comes to doing commission work. I've not done a comic like this in quite a while, especially not in the coloured sketch style. This was an experiment, and overall I say it was a good one. Plus it gave me the excuse to draw more Silverstream. I've not drawn enough fanart of her, and now that Friendship is Magic is coming to an end it seemed fitting to draw this.
She likes sushi. Is that like what's going on with the people that eat monkeys? My expression mirrors Sandbar's. He was fun to draw as well. And Gallus. They're all great.

#1 That wouldn't actually surprise me. Mythological hippogriffs are part eagle, and fish tend to be a big part of an eagle's diet.
Heck I wouldn't be surprised to find out that fish were part of the Equestrian pony's diet as well. They already qualify as omnivores since they eat eggs and drink milk,Β after allΒ developing big intelligent brains does require more protein, and fish would be an easy source of it. Particularly during their tribal age when food may not have been as readily available.

Assuming she is in line of succession (since neither her or her brother or her parents are addressed by any titled, it would seem one of her parents is a sibling to Queen's husband, so then she would be in line only if Princess Skystar didn't have any other relatives on her mother' side; unless it was Skystar's father's House who is the rulling house, that would make Queen Novo Queen Mother... but then Skystar would have been already coronated?... I think I had gone off topic...), then she would be 3rd in line of succession (Queen is already the ruler). But otherwise very nice^^

The line of succession remains within the family, it can never pass to the family of the husband/wife of the monarch.
If Silverstream's mother or father is a sibling of Queen Novo then she's in the line of succession. However, if neither of her parents are direct siblings of the Queen, but only siblings-in-law, then Silverstream can never inherit the crown.
Based on the information in the MLP wiki it seems like Silverstream's mother is Queen Novo's sister, which indeed makes her 4th in the line of succession (technically 3rd because you don't count the Queen herself), assuming Queen Novo has no other children, and assuming Queen Novo has no other brothers or sisters older than Silverstream's mother, and also assuming Silverstream's mother doesn't have any other older children.

In case where there is no other member of the family/house/dynasty left, then the closest related house/family/line inherits the throne. Queen Novo's relatives would be higher in line of succession, of course, meaning those that descend from the royal line, but if there wouldn't be any (cause it happens, there could have been single children and such for several generations), then the succession would most likely pass to Silverstream's family, as being closely related to Skystar would be a very strong claim, and they would start a new rulling dynasty.
Of course, that little scenario is based on that assumption of mine. Been a while since I read MLP wiki, didn't know that they stated that Queen Novo and Ocean Flow or whatever her name was are sisters. Still, kinda weird how they hadn't addressed her by title, especially in the show where they LOVE throwing Princesses and Princes about everywhere...

That was a nice bit of fanon mixed with canon.
FWIW, I have my suspicions that Silverstream has been chosen by the power of Laughter to be its emissary, so the idea of hte Student Six travelling the world to find their destinies fits into my own ideas quite well.
