Like the colors on the bottom pic - poor guy looks like he's got one hell of a hypersleep hangover!
Glad to hear you want to work on that one some more. I guess speedpaints are the digital version of quick sketches, but the eyelids on the bottom image should have a little more work-or maybe just not be so red...

Thanks for the comment, yeah i really like the bottom one too and i agree about the eyelids, they are popping a little too much in the image and it is was also quite strange the way his eye looked in the film during this shot. It is as i have painted it but i feel maybe as this is a still it would be better for me to use a bit of my own imagination and suggest something more.

What looked strange about his eye, besides that its solid black? He was still doing the dazed thousand yard stare at that point, not that you could get much of an idea exactly where he was looking.

It may well be the strength of the red om the eyelid is what makes the eye look a bit off to me too, i don't know

Thanks, had a lot of fun doing the colours on the bottom image with the light hitting is face from his hypersleep chamber. Tempted to go back to that one at some point and polish it up into a bigger image.
