Description
As usual i've taken some time off of the challenges and come back a bit more refreshed.Had some good fun with this guy. It's fun to draw the mechanical stuff.
Thanks for having a look!

Thanks so much. I think it's an interesting looking robot. Sure his head looks like a pencil but I guess that makes him more unique heh.

Even as a huge Star Wars fan, I find this guy ridiculous to draw, but you actually make him interesting.Β I like the composition and framing, and the select, intense color really pops. I've also noticed your work has been a bit sharper lately, have you been doing anything different?

Thanks for the kind words.
I sort of bounce around with techniques really. I feel like I still haven't got particularly comfortable with any one way to do things. With anything tech related (a lot of sharp lines, corners) I use a 45 degree brush. Whereas with people (round objects) i'll try to start out with a soft brush and then move towards a harder brush as I go along. That might be what you're seeing here as most of it was done with a 45 degree flatish looking paintbrush. Ie. it's kind of a jagged brush, but it's a default brush in photoshop. I think it's #63 in CS2.

Just a coincidence, of course.
