*doodlebot-squared requested I draw up a Master Chief Scar guide to follow. She also requested he be shirtless in this guide ^^ And he is.

I've listed where most of the scars come from. I dont know his whole past so I may have missed a couple that actually belong there from the books, but they are mostly aesthetic on my part... you know... I like the cross on his chest and such ^^

A lot of his scars are from training, a lot more are from surgery. I trust that Dr. Halsey and company knew how to glue a person back together 500 years in the future, but I don't know if field medics or... morelikely, John himself would have the tools necessary to stitch himself without a scratch. They went through so much surgery as children and as adults, there's got to be SOME marks. I've put the Y of your standard autopsy on him for that reason... they gotta get into his chest to enhance it afterall (I really like the Y). A lot of the smaller scars are burns and bullets from covenant and flood. A few are scratches from rough landings or sparring as a trainee, but most of the time he's in his armor, so any battle wounds on him are located in soft spots, like under the arms, in his sides and at the joints. The rest of him should have been pretty well protected through most of his adult life.

Again, this is my version of Armorless!Chief, so this is by no means canon accurate... face scars or otherwise.
