Description
Honorable Mention prize pic forShe wanted a picture of Data. Data rocks. I love Data... therefore... I got a little carried away.
i'm learning something about myself and prize pics. If the pics end up being cool I figure why restrict myself to my "pen or pencil drawing" rule? If I wanna do digital touchups and put a digital background on it then spammit that's what i'm going to do!
This was originally a pencil drawing in graphite on paper, then it went into the computer and it just needed somethign else... something cool... something Data... something digital. And so it was. I hope you like it Darkest of Days... because I do. I think he looks suave.

This could be Lore as well - the look is very Loresque, no matter the pips. We know Lore nicked his uniform twice, haha. It's looks great.

Yeah, I just saw a whole bunch of cool Data-featured episodes on thursday on Spike.
1. The first one had Data stranded on an underdeveloped planet that had civilization as advanced as late midevil times. He was sent to salvage parts from a shipwreck and put them in a box that prevented their radiation from leaking. Then he lost his memory. He wondered into town and the mayor saw him and let rest at his family's house. At first they called him "Radiation" because that was written on the box he came with, but then they called him Jaden, for some weird reason. When they opened the box, they saw metal fragments in there (I screamed "Nooo! Radiation! You's all gonna get it if you open that box!"). They took it to the blacksmith, who bought half the set and made jewelry and stuff out of them. Eventually, they were distributed around town and people began to get sick. The blacksmith and everyone else (except the mayor's family) blamed it on Jaden/Data, since the disease began to go around when he arrived. Then Data began to find a cure and used primitive technology to develop a cure (memory still lost). He also realized that the metal fragments were the cause and that the box would contain the radiation. While he developed a cure, the blacksmith whacked him in the head with a pickaxe, revealing Data's metal skull!!! This did not help. And as Data snuck the cure into the water supply, the people rioted and impaled him with a spear. Assuming he was dead, they buried him. Riker and Troy came down, beamed themselves and the underground body back to the Enterprise, and reactivated him.
2. (This is shorter). They crew discovers a weird space structure. Eventually, it begins turning the whole ship into a sacred temple! What's worse is Data has been possessed with multiple split personalities. Each one is the personality and memory of each of the temple's gods. One spirit, Eehut or whatever, acts cocky and always posing like he's sexy or something. Another, Fareer, is lonely and scared easily. Another is an old man who's pretty much dying of old age. The last one is Masaka, the godess of the sun and death. There's not much more to say...

Yep, I know both those episodes. I'm always amazed at Brent's acting, he gets posessed so often in the show. I think I've seen every episode of TNG thanks to Spike playing it nonstop... and then G4 picked it up so if I've missed an ep I'll see it before long!

I just started watching TNG again, *squishes DVR and Spike* I love that show, Data is my favorite character. I agree Brent Spiner is an awesome actor, so is Patrick Stewart. Did you see the episode where Picard gets tortured? That episode really showed off his acting skills.

Yes, it was a good episode. That one and the last episode where he has to act all senile. Its too bad Patrick Stuart hands himself out to anyone now.. I guess he's strife for cash

Why do you say that?
I don't think I've seen that episode. I've seen about 20 episodes or so lately, I've been recording them on Spike . I'm saving for the $400 set of all 7 seasons
.

Because as much as I love the Ninja Turtles, TMNT was an awful movie. As was Chicken Little. It seemslike his voice ends up in all these crappy movies lately and I think its a shame. I'm afraid of him following in the footsteps of another famous Enterprise captain and becoming an utter parody of himself.

Really? TMNT was awful? I was hoping they did a good job with it, that's a shame. I loved the other TMNT movies.
I haven't seen either of the movies, I didn't know he was in them.
I hope that, that doesn't happen to him he's such an awesome actor.

If you're going for the beauty then it was wonderful. Visually it was stunning and I would like to see it again just to watch it. The action sequences were amazing. And the acting was bad, but wasn't THAT bad. The horrible part was the script. I know that the Ninja Turtles are somewhat famous for battle banter and lame puns, but this went to the extreme. They Never Shut Up. I'm like "SHUT UP AND LET ME EMOTE DANGIT!" The Weinsteins don't believe in acting. Everything had one or another turtle talking over it and I really just wanted to turn the voices off.
on the ohter hand, my friend Carol loved the movie and she was sitting right next to me, so I guess its a matter of opinion.
I still wanted them to shut up though, geez. It was scripted horribly, it left all kind of loose ends and leading questions and had random scenes for no good reason and lapses in logic.
If you're a turtles fan I'm not telling you not to go see it. Just go with the knowledge that its not written for adults. I went in expecting another movie like the live action ones I love so much and I was sadly dissapointed. Going into it without any kind of aspirations though, you'll probably have a blast.

Thanks for the warning lol .
From the previews it did look like it had been done beautifully, I'd like to watch it just for that alone, but I have all the other TMNT movies so I want to get it for the collection.
I'll wait for it to come to DVD, when you watch something in theaters you seem to expect more.

My husband's fave episode was "All Good Things", the very last episode of the series, I believe. He even has the novel of it. Dude, the episode where Data has a girlfriend is so funny. And Spot...Omg he --er--she is so cute, aside from the fact that she is completely evil and the entire crew is afraid of her including Worf. XDDD

^^ any Data episode rocks... I like Lal... and the one where he looses his memory and becomes Jared, and the one in the first season where he has to defend his right to live.. I like that one a lot. Its one of the few times I feel for Riker. Most of the time I find him annoying.

Yeah, I think it was Measure of man, I watched that one few days ago, thats a great episode. I cried during it several times, even though I knew it would turn out fine for Data. But even the thought it could turn out the wrong way and they would mark him "property of Starfleet", thats just terrible.
Damn I shouldnt be so emotional about it, itΒ΄s just a movie... but Star Trek is one of those that I really care about, I do worry about the characters, I hate the villains etc... you wouldnΒ΄t wanna see my depression after Nemesis...

Yes that one is funny... but I can't help but feel sorry for him, because he's trying as hard as he can and he still gets it wrong ^^
It was her fault for trying to date an android, though.

Oh i know! Poor Data!
I did love when he got his emotion chip, and the Enterprise-D is going down for a crash landing, and he's like, "Ohhhhhh, SHIT!" Then there's the lifeforms song he sings...
