This is 's Honorable Mention for entering my contest.I know Eerian suggested it, but I adore this picture and I should have thought to draw it a long time ago. Vincent and Auron really have a lot in common besides the red cloaks and high collars. They are both elements from the past injected into an adventure in the present. And they're both brooding and sarcastic. I hope Eerian likes it, because it is now one of my favorite pictures to date.

I love it! You're right, they're very alike... but Auron's body looks more like a tall Cid Highwind than Vincent. xD He just ain't that lithe as Vin.

I always knew there was something about these two that was really similiar (besides their looks) and could never quite figure out what ... thanks for pointing that out~.
I really like this image. The balance of it, and--quite frankly--I like that it's in black-and-white. Seems to fit along with their personalities quite well.

*flails madly in hope of expressing incoherent self* Ahhh! This turned a previously useless night into a great one - just the Auron-ness of it. He's my One True Love, I swear =^-^= And the fact that he's in a picture with Vincent, who is my favorite from VII for a reason that makes excellent sense - they really do have a good deal in common, thematically - just made it all the better. Artisctically, I love how their poses echo each other without being clones, and their inward-turned, brooding expressions; you've captured them very well, in a picture that's attractive for its composition as well as its drool-worthy subject matter. Now, if you'll excuse me.... *dissolves into happy fan incoherence*

Auron is the king of all badasses... you really need to play that game. I love the battle system and Auron and the backstory. Its like 8 in that respect. Learning the backstory of the parents of the characters you're playing with is sometimes half the fun. In my opinion in X it was most of the fun, but that's because I'm an Auron fan.
