Spike Witwicky (akaSam) and Bumblebee... bffTheir friendship is my very favorite part of both the original series and the most recent movie. Bumblebee is my personal redesign, but he's still the same old bee. Spike is a bit of a redesign as well... I couldn't bring myself to put a construction helmet and yellow boots on him.

A great picture of close friends in the Transformers world. As much as I like Bumblebee and Spike, I also like Rodimus Prime, Ironhide, Starscream, Ravage, and especially Wheeljack. Spike is one of my favorite human characters of all the human allies of the nonhuman superheroes. I even named one of my own characters Spike.
PS: I thought the uniform that Spike and Sparkplug had on, the boots and hard hat seemed a little too retro. I would have preferred Spike dressed as a normal human teenager with a hoodie, a T-shirt, jeans, and shoes, which is what I normally draw my fictional teenagers wearing. But then again, that was the 80s for you.

Yes! The original duo is once again back in action! When I first heard that they were having Bumblebee in the movies, back in '06 anyway, I was like, 'Yes! My favorite Autobot back in business!' And when I heard they were having Sam, I froze and had this huge smile on my face the rest of the day. I mean, yeah, Sam's a bit of a spazz and is a bit more...witty, in the movie's, but he's still the same guy. And Bee...Oh my God I love Bee. He was just awesome. Good job!

really nice work! yeah - i think what i love most about the TF series is that the characters have so much heart to them, you really forget that they're robots and you just fall in love with this world.
