Spike Witwicky (akaSam) and Bumblebee... bffTheir friendship is my very favorite part of both the original series and the most recent movie. Bumblebee is my personal redesign, but he's still the same old bee. Spike is a bit of a redesign as well... I couldn't bring myself to put a construction helmet and yellow boots on him.

In G1 Spike and his dad always wore boots and hats. They originally worked on an oil rig and I guess they never got a change of clothes

Given my new obsession with Transformers, how could I NOT fave this? I love Spike and Bumblebee! The show just wouldn't be the same without them. ^__^

Yeah, doesnt he look like Sparkplug? I loved his parents in the movie, i think that was the best scene.
It was drawn in pencil but painted in photoshop with a paper filter on top. I felt like it needed texture, but I dont know if i made the right choice... it kind of mutes out some of the pencil details

I think the filter looks fine. Muted works with this picture.

Actually in the original canon, he marries a girl named Carly... but that doesn't mean they're not the same since Sam was substituted for Spike
