Description Faramir in Ithilian, walking along one winter day when the leaves have fallen and all thats green is the pines... spots something shiny and goes to see. It appears a bird had stolen a charm from some wayward traveller and used it to build its nest! How cute...

Alternate story
Some bird stole Faramir's charm... searching high and low he scoured Ithilian tracking it. After days of searching he found it in the bird's nest. Stupid Birds.

It was just an idea I had. Curse me for making it a pine tree... stupid needles. This took me a very long time. I didnt time myself but I drew it a couple weeks ago and have been photoshopping on and off until now. I worked really hard to get it to look like him. You should have seen my original sketch. My love of Faramir has gotten me really good at drawing anonymous bearded guys.
FULLVIEW IT TO SEE ALL THE DETAIL!!!

But yes, I was thinking of submitting this to the Faramir in Winter contest at the Faramir Fanclub... and maybe even the Best Deviation at The Fellowship... What do you think? Is it wrong for me to submit it to two contests at once?

Also if you see anything wrong with it please let me know.

Ye it such a good scene, well all the ones with him in are but ye thats a really good one. It so cool that they put more Faramir bits in the extended's it so amazing and i love it when Faramir shows Frodo and Sam a safe way out from Osgiliath cos Samwise is cool to and when he lets them go because he forfits his life cos he knows that he must and that the ring must be destroyed it's just so amazing, he has shown more honour than all i think seeing as if he had taken the ring to his farther he might love him as he once did many years ago, but he didn't because he knew what was right instead of what might have made him a better son. And i love what he wears being a ranger from Gondor such amazing clothes. *drools* And your picture Treasure in Ithilien is just amazing his clothes all of it truely amazing. And i love your Zelda pictures as well, Link rocks and Quill out of Wind Waker i do prefere Ocarina though. That was my first ever Zelda game so it's kinda been at the top even though i have got the others i can always go back to that game and play it all over again and find new bits and try and beat my old score on other things. Well i'll stop now cos i could go on for ages again about LotR and Zelda but it best not.

I love the Faramir scenes too! ^.^ Especially when he yells "NAZGUL!!" Although, with his reaction, he could be yelling "Fangirls!!!"

Thanks ^^ And I was being totally honest about the bearded guys... you should have seen all the prelim sketches I made before this... heck, you should have seen THIS before I got it into photoshop! The difference is dramatic, I like to turn the layers on and off for kicks to see the difference

Nice. You could possible do with a little less of the smudge tool, but other than that, very nice.

The hair and needles especially, but as a general rule, it's not one of the better tools to be using for blending. And airbrush works better, and if you need shadows and highlights like that, you can always shrink the brush size. I"m not saying this to be mean mind you, because I'm trying to give _contructive_ crits.
