"Not were Minas Tirith falling in ruin and I alone could save her..."Page 656 is the PAGE for good Faramir quotes.... he actually says this in the movie too. For those of you who haven't seen the extended version do... they added so much more Faramir in (he's the best!) Yeah, in the book he says this to Frodo assuring him that he would not want the ring... in the movie he says it to Denethor to explain why he didn't take it. The exchange was fabulous... in laymen's terms it went something like this.
D: "You had the ring right there and you didn't take it!"
F: "Taking it would be the worst thing I coudl do! You dont understand its destructive nature! I'd rather watch everything die then take it up in my own hand!"
D: "Boromir would have done it if he was here!"
F: "IN YOUR FACE DAD! The Ring is perverse! If Boromir had taken it when he got here you wouldn't even recognize him anymore!"
Yeah, I enjoyed it very much
But anyway.... i'm submitting this to the quote illustration contest! Vote for me!
