Description
The five towers perched on their pedestal above the Falzarego Pass in the Italian Dolomites are a sight to behold. The open air war museum there is a stark reminder of the terrible events that took place there during the First World War despite looking so idyllic today. This shot was taken at 6:30am as these was coming up, with a lovely cloud inversion down in the valley. The Lagazuoi and Tofana di Rozes can be seen in the background.

great photo, sometimes it is just luck... your talent, the time the place the weather all come to one moment of incredible beauty....how far away from the camera are the five towers? looks like you were on an elevation? or hill? great shot thanks for it.

This is a panorama unlike many others I've seen in the past. It's almost perfect, in a sense, although that might be a understatement.
Anyway, I think this submission was certainly worthy of a Daily Deviation, and most certainly worth a Favorite. Keep on doing what you're doing, man.

I see it says 16mm, but what brand of lens and type is it? It's super clear and sharp. Love this scene. I have a 14mm on a crop sensor, but have a newer full frame camera on the way which I hope will make things a bit clearer and better exposed, but realistically, the glass is a bit soft on my lens. Works great for closer objects and night sky shots, but landscapes aren't anywhere near as clear as this.
