I actually remember seeing this not too long ago in a PS magazine
Were you the artist they featured in the tutorial or did you do a remake?
The former is very impessive but if ur the former its still pretty good

hmm
under the wisdom of my girlfriend it seems its not THIS piece but one thats SUPER close that was in a PS magazine about 2 months ago.
And i think shes right but the pieces look very close (very) but the same technique is used for both pieces and for once i think memory has failed me in the first run and its not the same shot. hope i didnt ruffle feathers
Ill see if i can find the mag and let me know u can have a look at urself.
Still a good piece tho

Hmmmm, well I assure you I this piece was from the heart and I didn't get any inspiration from anywhere. Having said that this type of render is very popular so it's probably no surprise there are similar out there. If u come across this magazine let me know this issue number

Wow...such detail in this one!! No wonder you recommend full view: you miss some of those awesome details you created if you don't!! I love the textured feel of the parasites...that's just beautifully enhanced by the starbursts/bright whites behind it. You can see all the tiny ridges with the whites. That mix of whites make some of it look seagreen...the colors are really subtle but very beautiful to look at. A really beautiful piece!

I love the colours in this, they work so nicely together and set a relaxed, yet (almost) paranoid sort of atmosphere.. The colours seem to trick me into a sense of security, yet the way it "moves" keeps me on my guard.. good job *sorry if that made no sense at all.. heh, that's what i do*
