The Longiarù region just south-west of San Martino in Badia is famous for its collection of some 30 preserved watermills, a living testament to an ancient rural culture that relied almost entirely on agriculture. Situated equidistant from the hamlets of Seres and Miscì, the Val de Murin or ‘valley of the mills’ hosts eight recently restored watermills that form part of a small open air museum.
