Because there is a website named "Tineye" and it searches all over the internet for picture files.. And that gargoyle of yours was addressed somewhere by the date of 2006~, 3 years ago, on a forum website, where there was a really very very very similar image that I could say it's exactly like yours...
I am not saying you are stealing a graphical work or whatever, was just curious.
If you REALLY did draw this by yourself, then really, congratulations, it's awesome.

Well, if you look at the date on the actual image you'll see I did it in 2003. The image is signed bottom left 'Ryman 03'.

It's just that there are a few problems on the website I usually post my drawings at and someone there claimed this drawing of yours was his (It was already proven it was a big lie, therefore he got banned 
I'm sorry for putting you up into this that much, I hope you understand why I did that.

I do indeed understand the need to call out people who steal artwork, I've done it myself. I would hope though that before you do it again you do your research before implying that someone might be a thief. You only needed to look in my gallery here to see work that is comparable to the image in question. That alone should have told you that I originally did it. The fact that you used the date of a forum post to imply proof, without noticing the date on the actual piece tells me you really didn't think this through.
I appreciate your apology, I just hope that you are more careful in future.

Looks awesome. I think it would be better without the knife though. Not because it doesn't awesome, cause it does, but because it would just seem that a demon of this strength wouldn't need it. I think it would look awesome if his other hand had him by the jaw so it looks like he is about to snap his neck. That's just me though, I shouldn't be talking cause I am no where near this good.
