Oh my gosh! That's the one I've been saving up for!
Is it as good as it looks?

I like it a lot. I will say, I'm personally a bit heavy handed and the surface is starting to get a tiny bit scratched. Not a problem if you work fairly lightly but for me it's created some scratches. I'm going to buy a cover for it though and that should work fine.
In terms of what it's like to use, I've used the Intuos range for years and I'd say they are the best around.

Wow that is probably the best interpretation of Hastur existing. I love anything Cthulhu Mythos like.

Very nice! I don't see as much fan art of this mythos character as I'd expect... That C'thulhu fella hogs all the attention I guess

Ahhh, Good ol' Hastur. He who is not to be named. God Of Formlessness. The Faceless King. Probably the alltime best adaptation I've ever seen of him. Please make more. Not many people appreciate good ol' Hastur.

I would comment on how amazing this piece is, but a strange apathy seems to have overtaken me . . .

"Mask? I wear NO MASK."
As a lifelong Eldritchian, I must dub this 'triumphant!'
I just pray to Azathoth my house isn't devoured by mist tomorrow. O O;

I thought the Yellow Sign tended to be wrought in gold, not silver.
He look sli,e the ringwraiths in FotR (movie) when Frodo sees them with the Ring on.
It's nifty how he's holding the medallion (that's what it is, right?) out to you, as he were offering it to you.

Also, the Yellow Sign appears to be the CoC interpretation. Was this a cover for a CoC book or supplement?

Actually, the character presented is not Hastur itself, but the King in Yellow, its avatar. It's exceptional work, though, doubtless the best Mythos art I've seen in some time. The "tatters" have been made extremely well, and his overall style of fashion is very nice composed and monarchic. I also like the emblems on his mask; they're tiny screaming faces if you look closely.

I'm absolutely blown away. The folds of the cloak, the faces on the face, the colors, the wrinkles of the skin, I could go on and on.
Fantastic!...and creepy.

That's The King in Yellow - an avatar of Hastur, right? Or is the King in Yellow an avatar of Nyarlathotep?

Jazzerman In reply to vincious [2010-08-11 00:06:35 +0000 UTC]
The king in yellow is an avatar of Hastur, though Nyarlathotep has an avatar called High Priest Not To Be Described which looks a lot like the king in yellow.
