Description
Grim is one of 17 characters I’ve created, and thoughtfully named Omne-ens, or All-Beings. Grim does not represent death, he is more related to the obviously name stolen grim reaper. His job in creation is to collect the souls of mortals, specifically mortals that have lost life in their mortal shells. This is done either personally, or by one of his many servants. After collection of a large caliber, he takes the souls to the Golden Gate, bringing them through to experience whatever lays beyond them. He also collects the souls of the Omne upon their death, but only until they regenerate and are revived once more.

I tried to break the standard norm for my characters when thinking of them. Grim, despite his namesake, is actually quite the jokester. He also does not care much for the company of others, for fear they will accidentally touch him in some way. Ah, forgot to mention that didn’t I? Upon touching Grim any and all conscious life is extinguished, separating soul from body instantly. This curse as he calls it, along with the fact he can only materialize once some being had died, has made him rather lonely, and many question if his comedic front is simply a cover for his inner turmoil.

Finally, when it comes to conflict Grim doesn’t choose sides. Both sides die, and it just means more work for him either way. This passive neutrality to conflict leaves him a rather valuable individual to receive advice from, and his friendship, if ever gained, very helpful indeed.
