Normally, I don’t post things like these on here a lot, because it’s just depressing and awful when someone that has been admired for years dies. To me, R. Lee Ermey was a true to life hero since he fought for our country when he served in Vietnam before he would rise to Hollywood. Ermey’s most recognizable roles include the foul-mouthed Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Full Metal Jacket, Sarge the toy soldier in the Toy Story films, Sheriff Hoyt in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake from 2003 and its prequel from 2006, among many others. He also hosted Mail Call on the History Channel and Locked and Loaded.
So, farewell and Godspeed to R. Lee Ermey!
