Reading the comments has enlightened me to the implications of this commission....

Well, in the album that this image is based off of, the character (called Aqualung) on the cover is "a dirty old man who lusts for young girls" according to TVtropes.

The intent was to reflect the isolation and bitterness that Ralph's initial loneliness could be connected to the initial image of the album cover.

I recently commissioned an image based off of the album cover for Billy Joel's "The Stranger" (Google it) in the commission, i replaced the artist with Link from LoZ and The mask on the cover with Majora's Mask. The intent being a reflection of what one's self is and the facades we put on.

The music on the albums did not influence the connection to the cover, just my interpretation of the image and the characters I connected to these initial concepts.

Does that make sense?
