Description
Drawing in ink terrifies me (it isn't erasable!!) but I'm pleased with how this turned out :]Related content

Hello again Jess,
My friend and I are publishing an anthology of many different writers' stories to raise money for charity.
I'd love to include your (credited, of course) drawing in that if you might be interested.
Maybe even some more if you're game to help raise some money for charity.
Email me? ericgriggs AT GMAIL dotcom.
Thanks!

Hey, thanks for the message. Since you credited me, I've got absolutely no problem with you posting a pic of my merman illustration on your story. Glad you liked it enough to use it.
I appreciate you letting me know. Cheers!

What a charming, young merman! I especially like the speckled ink technique you used that suggests great detail. There's a solidness about him that's not often seen in other drawings. Great job!

Thank you very much! ^^ I'm happy you like it. To get the speckled effect I used pieces of tree bark dipped in ink (kind of like stamps).

This is beyond amazing. I must say I was taken aback by the intense, realistic sadness in his eyes. The proportions are so on point, and he has such a depth, weight, and overall realness to him. It's beautiful, just beautiful.

I know this is several months late (I've been terribly busy! LOL), but I must say you are most welcome. I believe such gifted artists such as yourself should be told how amazing they are daily
