ok, here it is finished, got a brand new wacom pen after smashing my last one accidently (don't ask) so i sat down, completely redrew a previous pic of mine "winged flight" pretty much the pose is the only thing left similar lol XD and now that it's finished i like it so well i'm going to submit it to kamcao's contest =^^=Related content

Thank you =^^= beleive me it took a long time to get used to my tablet, now every time i kill it (it never dies on it's own) i practically have panic attacks lol XD

lol if it makes you feel better, i smashed my wacom pen while attempting to destroy an ice cube, yes that's right people, that's how i killed my wacom pen. smashing an icecube. (i have my not so bright days) i ended up having to get a replacement pen shipped.

i love your lineart, its so simple and thin and it complements your bright coloring really well. i love the purplish touch in all the shading.

Wow, it's so clean and somewhat minamalistic but that's what makes it so unique! I love the parakeet, it actually seems like a real parakeet, the way you colored it! A must fave this one is!!

lol do what i did and get a graphire 4, they run about 100 bucks and are plenty decent enough for use, hell i've been using graphires for 10 years XD

Absolutely lovely! The tones used are just perfect, beautiful and cheerfully tranquil. The budgie on her hand is beautiful and stylishly rendered, just as the main subject herself. Congrats for the DD, it was most certainly well-deserved with a pic like this!

The shading on it looks marvelous.. I love the bright, yet soft colors (that's such an oxymoron though XP). How long did it take you

drawing it took probably an hour or so, coloring it was done over two days, between them i'd say 6-8 hours.

lol i was never one of those people that could color a picture peice by peice over a few weeks . i get impatient, once i start a peice, i want to finish it so i'll usually sit down and color it in one sitting, and if i can't finish in that one sitting, i'll finish it the next day in one more sitting. i guess i have alot of patience (and no social life) i can sit for a good 2-8 hours to finish a peice and never get up save to use the bathroom and eat/drink something.

Oh jeez! XD I used to bel ike that when I was ridiculously addicted to my Wacom upon first getting it. o.O; I think I spent a whole day on the comp but taking every 3 or so hours to stretch my sore lower back and shoulders
