asked for a picture of the mutant messiah, hope summers, using a few powers. here she is using cyclops, storm and dazzler's powers. emma's diamond form will also be incorporated too.lines/inks by me

I haven't actually read the comics but keep up with them every now and then and Hope Summers actually has listed as her main power "Empathic Power Mimicry" and so what our lovely artist said she (Hope) has by proxy every mutant's powers that lives on that Earth. Problem is is that while yes she has all that power she can't even control any of the powers she obtains. And yes she does have a Phoenix Force spark in her; though in my opinion (and many people don't share this belief and actually fight me on it ...) she is simply the byproduct of Marvel realizing that by getting rid of a character (Jean) who has become so ingrained and integral to the world of Marvel that there comes a void where that character filled, and now they are attempting (attempting to be the key word) replace her. With a character that I might add who is even more twinked out in power than the character they got rid of!!! ...Sorry I got into a little rant about Hope. Love this pic and all of the other ones you've done, but have to say this ... hoping Jean comes back and she and Emma team up against this pretentious little upstart ... and then turn on Scott. XD

i persionally really like hope. i think they built her a very strong backstory and a "father" to live up to. she a fave of mine.
that said, i do miss jean and would like her back. i don't think hope is the replacement for jean.

Don't get me wrong about Hope ... I mean she is pretty awesome in her own right, and her "father" Cable ... well ... nuff said. And I gotta also give it to her in that she has basically gotten rid of one of my least favorite characters (and this character only made it worse for himself in my book by doing what he did) and that is Bishop.
As to the other thing ... I have to say it, red hair, blue-green eyes, telepathy and telekinesis, along with a Phoenix Force spark ... still not convinced she's not a Jean Grey replacement. All of the things going for her when it comes to that almost exactly meet the Jean Grey prerequisites for a Jean Grey type character.

I don't think its been clearly defined. She is like a meta-mutant though, she can use others powers, but also seems to be able to affect them as well [Case in Point, Rogue and the five Lights]. There is also a healthy dose of Phoenix mixed in, but I didn't want that being focused on with this. Im sure the writers will get to that in time.

The living Deus Ex Machina! Honestly if I was in charge that would be her codename. Got nothing against the character but this whole "Living mutant blueprint" sort of thing seems weird and out of left field, even by X-men standards.

i personally think she's gonna turnout to be the creation of putting jean grey and cyclops' dna together. like she was created by sinister and he impregnated a woman with the embryo. he has always said their dna would make the ultimate mutant.

Yeah that wouldn't shock me in the slightest. They seem to love bringing it back to either being all about Wolverine or all about Jean and Scott in one way or another. It would explain why she had the phoenix symbol in her eyes a few times when she was an infant, at least I think that was her.
