Are you thinking of Roulette, the girl who was a part of the Hellions, Emma Frost's group. Before Generation X, Emma Frost had her own group of students, including Catseye. They were killed by the Sentinels, led by Trevor Fitzroy, who used the teleporting aborigne Gateway to get to Ms. Frost's school.
I have the comics where Jubilee and her friends wake up to find out they are trapped in the bodies of the Hellions, only to find out they were put in a simulation by Emma's sister, Adrienne.
My favorite new mutants are Cannonball/Sam Guthrie, Rahne Sinclair/Wolfsbane, Karma/Xian, Danielle Moonstar, and Sunspot/Roberto DiCosta.

I remember she got possessed by the Shadow King and got really fat. Now, she has a bionic leg and stopped a vampire lady in the latest issue when she went to her Weight Watchers meeting to help other people who need help in losing weight like she did. Her real name is Xian Coy Mihn, from Vietnam.

her expression & body language suggests " I'm reading/controlling your mind and theres nothing you can do to stop me"... i dont know her character/ mutant ability, even if it aint telepathy...you did an excellent job

the only mutant that i have ever seen thats has bested all of the xmen by her self, the ability to change the chances of something bad happening to some one is awsome, i have always loved this charicter.
