Description
Here is Solstice for the NY Times GLBT & Allies Gay Pride Celebration boards that were asked to provide art for. Solstice will be included on the Allies board - showcasing straight people/characters that are for and stand up for the GLBT community. Solstice was picked for her love and friendship with new gay teen superhero bunker and to have a teenager represented.lines/inks by me

i draw and ink by hand and scan it into the computer. take it into photoshop and adjust the levels to get a strong black and a strong white

Nice! This is becoming a fun little theme (granted it's for something so yeah). Admittedly my first thought for an LGBTQ character and ally would've been Obsidian and Manhunter/Kate Spencer.

I don't know...I loved the original visual, which seemed to be bucking the trend at the pre-'New 52' mandate that everyone has to be grim and dark and dangerous looking. The new version is...well, grim and dark and dangerous looking.
