Description
Rest In Peace Silent Hill.A small tribute to mark the end of a once great series.
You'll notice no images from 'The Room' in this piece because the game never existed.
Now that western developer 'The Collective' is making Silent Hill 5 the series is officially dead in my heart.
- Just thrown together with currently existing stock/internet available images.~

I completely and whole-heartedly agree with you. I felt that the fourth game was waaaay too similar to, for example, Super Mario 2 - just a way to market an unknown game with characters and a name that is already popular. And don't get me started on how bad the fifth one looks. Four would have been fine on it's own had it been released as a completely different, un-Silent-Hill-ed game.
A very fitting tribute to a wonderful "trilogy."

No problem, just happy to find someone else who thinks the same way about it.

I could say 'what is right with it?'
But that would just be bitchy... I enjoyed playing it because it was 'different' to the other games but just felt it was too much of a departure from the series, and though it was made by a new team inside Konami as an experimental project, I just felt it lacked any depth or relation to Silent Hill itself... well, besides the 'crowbarred' plot links and references. (and the brief visit to Toluca Lake).
For me Silent Hill 3 remains as what should've been the end of the series.
Withthe mid-way revelation in the story being that the game is a direct sequal to the original Silent Hill and Heather being none other than the reincarnation of Alessa, fathered once again by Harry Mason. It was a round up. Perfect.
Though for atmosphere and that wonderfully tragic love story that can't be replicated... Silent Hill 2 is the ultimate and best game in the series. ^_^
Woah... Sorry about that stupidly long answer, uber fan-boy syndrome taking over.
In short, I don't hate 'The Room'... I thought it was good to play. It just shouldn't have had SILENT HILL slapped on the beginning of the title. 0_o

Project Zero... (or Fatal Frame) Is absolutely awsome!
I've got the complete trilogy, but I haven't finished PZ3: The Tormented yet.
