Check is a Sheriff's daughter. A very proud sheriff's daughter, might I add. She has a wonderful family which includes her mother, her father and two other sisters.
She is pretty vain and flirty. She often likes to talk on and on about herself unaware of others restlessness, but she is a hard worker and will do anything for her family and will drop anything (dates, traveling, time with friends) to be there for her family.
Whatever she wants, she will have and has no problem attaining it. Being a woman with good looks will take you far. She often complains about her nails and how she has small breasts. You know, things that don't matter to most people in a world with a high crime rate.

Check met Jamie when she was 13. In her traveling, Jamie happened upon Check's town and stopped at the diner. Being wind-blown and dusty as well as poor didn't help Check's immediate dislike of her as soon as she entered the diner. Not enough change seemed to spiral into a heated argument between the two. Check who, as the town Sheriff's daughter, didn't want to see the restaurant's owner be manipulated. Jamie cleared everything up by washing dishes in the back. Jamie decided to stay in town for a while and help work for free. To Check's dismay the offer was accepted. An every day annoyance for Check became a strong friendship in which Jamie seemed thrilled to reciprocate.

They fight more often than they get along but, they have a very deep understanding of each other that either refuses to admit.
Check loves working hard and keeping everything peaceful. Her and Jamie were separated for some time until they were reunited at Outlaw Cafe (to each others open "disgust") by a series of events that involved them both falling for Axel.

Check's ambition is to search for a certain potion maker in "the far east" and beg for a special concoction to help her grandfather recover from Alzheimer's disease. Most people laugh at such a myth, but she is willing to do anything to get there. And who better to accompany her than Axel himself, who is also heading East to find his ex wife to give her...something.

I hope my descriptions are not too confusing. I try to dumb everything down and explain the character and story without adding too much clutter. I am not good at explaining anything that involves myself or things I like or am interested in, so bear with me here. lol
