Supernatural High . . . where cheerleaders can be not only bitches, but deadly. Nice work.

That background is perfect, and nice dynamic pose. I would say use less of that white airbrushy effect for the shines, particularly over the dark colors.
For nice hot fire, try making a screen layer and fill it with black. Use a white airbrush (sparingly) over the hot fire area. Then use Hue/Saturation *check colorize* and slide the Hue bar to that golden hot glow.
The good thing about it is that you can try it over and over without ruining anything.

thanks Beth... I am going to try it out for sure.. How was NY comic Con? I have been getting some good feedback for the SuperNatural High series from some Hollywood people. We have these club meetings of Comic Book, TV and Movie people every 2 sunday of every month. Good group of people about 100 strong. Lots of ideas and networking. Jim Kruger (writer) puts them on at his place in Studio city. If your every in town let me know, I'll get you an invite...
Loved the fire colors you did on the Shrugged piece...thats the fire look I want for one of my characters... I did the Aspen piece and got a good water texture for the sword and had fun with the lighting.. check it out

I really like your background setup here. I think it sets the concept for your series. I can't wait to see more in this series.

you haven't coloured her face, hair, right arm, top above the boobs and her shoe - they're still flats.

nope - never works properly, though seems to be able to do it
Hint - use an orange colour set to hard light mode OVER the lineart to give it that firey glow
