Beautiful photograph (and a beautiful ball). It's a shame that the tip of the snout is just going out of focus, but the eyes are so sharp. Stunning animal too. My friend has ball pythons and we are hoping to breed them next year which will be interesting, I'm used to my corn snakes.

Great shot man! Ausfds, I really want a snake, but my parents won't let meee. D:
Are caramel albinos more expensive than standard albinos? It's been almost 3 years since I last paid any attention to ball python morphs.

Thank you!

Yes Carmels are more expensive,Currently (Dec '09)
Carmels are around $1500 USD for a baby, regular albinos are around $500 USD

Wow, I didn't know albinos were going for so much cheaper now! I'm assuming you breed them with all these photos.

Did you mean Axanthic? (As in a morph?)-- I thought they were lacking yellow. Though, I could be wrong... but I'm pretty sure thats what Axanthic is-- since I know you have to breed an Axanthic to an Albino to get a Snow. -nerd-

But, this is a VERY lovely ball!

Actually Axanthic and Xanthic are two different genetic mutations in ball pythons.

Xanthic is more commonly known as the Carmel Albino, T+ Albino, or Xanthic Albino

Axanthic is the Gray/black/silver mutation you combine with albino to create the snow.
A=lacking, xanthic=xanthophores an actual name for a chromataphore that produces red and yellow pigments

Both are recessive mutations but completely un-related to each other

Ah! Thank you for clearing that up. :3 Either way, that is one very lovely python. :3

Yeah, he isn't an axanthic. They are not the same thing. He is either a hypomelanistic or carmel. Axanthics are completely black and white.
