Sketching the frames took about an hour, and about ten minutes to put it together on comp. There's 8 frames in it. So yeah this is a small and boring animation but I hope you like it :'D
I know.. I failed the tail and forelegs, but most of all the hindlegs! Not to mention the head and body.. lol
So crits are welcome but I already know the flaws xd

I /tried/ it not to look too much like wolf's rain style animation, damn, everyone's faking it. :/ Most of the wolf run loop animations are based on that one. The crits people give me here on dA are the best help. :]

Well.. I take paper, pencil and eraser and start drawing, paper by paper. xD I trace the previous frame by putting the blank paper on it, and just change it a little~ And then I scan them, put together with animation shop 3 (or similar animation program) and save as gif. : D

This is far from boring!
I could watch it run all day and still be amazed 24 hours later.

well you should have imageready too, if you have photoshop :0 Try pressing the button at the bottom of the toolbar. There should be some kind of arrow pointing to imageready logo.

wow thats awesome! Great job, the whole movement looks smooth. I dont think you failed at anything. The hind legs look fine to me so does the tail. Love the ear movement XD

flaws? waht flaws!! the only one i see is "flawless!!" :rfl: i love it so much!! ^^ when it's moving, yo ucan't see the errors as much, and i don't see any!! so i don't know what you're talking about. loL!! i think it looks great

This is a pretty good pencil test so far. You keep good track of your anatomy and line of action, and it's not very jerky at all, and I know how trying it is to keep track of all those frames for such a simple animation.
I think what it might be lacking in is a good sense of weight-- the wolf seems a little too light on his feet right now, or doesn't seem to "land" as heavily as he should, and being as large as they are, wolves are pretty heavy despite their speed. Consider squash and stretch-- even in a realistic animated movement, you have to exaggerate to really sell the point
Also I don't think pointed dogs ears move that much when they're at a full run like that. If they tilt them back, they usually stay back; they don't go forward and back over and over-- at least not as much as you have here. 
Overall, I like the line of action and quality of the drawing(s), but a little more tweaking can improve your next run cycle.

Thanks so uch for the tips. Yeah, I noticed this wolf seems like he's only 'touching' the ground with its paws, just what you meant. But it's supposed to be a quick test, so I'll definitely make the next one better!
And about these ears - I'm sure you're right, I just wanted to test how it'd look in motion. :] Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it!

Well uh.. I draw on a paper and take another paper over it and 'trace' it xD But with a different pose of course.. I need a 'light table' or what should I call it.. This thing with a glass plate and a light under it? Lol it'd be very useful

The only things i noticed was his eyeballs ...well...he didnt have any lol!
and the fact that i thought the hind legs could do a bit more stretching.
but either way i barely noticed!
