Bah si, c'est toujours plutôt agréable de pouvoir remercier quelqu'un, en particulier en français Bon, ceci dit, ce dessin n'est pas vraiment représentatif de ce que je fais habituellement, mais je me suis bien amusé à le faire!

"Metal hurlant" in french is mainly a reference to THE 70's comics where we discovered such people as Moebius, Druillet and so on (our masters ), it's not really used to describe music. And indeed, my inpiration comes mainly from "metal hurlant" rather than from the Smurfs.

I have some issues of this magazine, which I discovered when I spent some time in London. I've always been seduced by it's covers But the comics in it were mainly european ones I already read or purchased at home... But we've had in France some magazines, a loooong time ago, which allowed me to discover US and UK artists (Kubert, Frazetta, Corben, BISLEY , etc...). These were called "Comics USA", "Ere comprimée", "Fantastik", but alas, they don't exist anymore, we can now mainly find Marvel and DC comics magazines... The rest can be found in what we call here "BD" or "Bande dessinées", at least 48 pages stories with no ads and a hard cover. I don't know if you have a word in english for hat kind of products. The only one I see is "graphic novels", but it's not exactly the same, I think...

As far as music is concerned, we also use the term "heavy metal" now, for what we called "hard rock" in the late 70's and beginning of the 80's...

Without joining first, ther's no link I can see in the folder that allows me to submit I guess there should be the usual "contribute to this folder" on top-right corner, but it isn't there... And since the group doesn't seem to accept members....
