Whoa.
This is the first time in my life anyone has ever looked at anything I've drawn and said it DOESN'T look like anime. Everyone is constantly describing my art as anime. O_O

You stuff? Anime? Not really. I'd say your stuff has a decidedly non-anime feel to it. I think, quite frankly, that a lot of people on dA are stupid, or fourteen (or stupid AND fourteen), and they don't even know what the heck they're looking at. If they see hard line images that aren't shaded in an American comic fashion, they say it's anime. Ignore them.

Haha, I continue to hear this from adults and peers as well. It sort of makes sense since, honestly, I learned how to draw by watching anime. When I was younger it was always, "Oh, you're trying to draw anime, but you're doing it wrong." I think people nowadays still get the sense that I'm failing at anime, when I'm really just anime-influenced (on a more minimal level than EVER as of late).
