if I ever find a bow tie and a hankie, I could be Two...but I'm already Four, so I guess I'll coerce my sister into being Two...yeah...
(speaking of costumes, my sister found the single most amazing piece of clothing evar: an ankle-length, double-breasted, burgundy great-coat. WIN. So that's part of the Four costume..)

I'm wearing my ankle-length burgundy coat at present actually...part of my Four costume--while the vest intended for Six has been transferred to my Four. I practically have everything but the scarf.

HEAR HEAR!!!!
He is a fashion expert, loves his colours, knows exactly the right combination and is not afraid to experiment with styles and be to original, his normal outfit is awesome in the extreme, and his waste coat in 2 doctors screams "Summer in the sun" in short, he is the master of STYLE!!!

only too true...
as for the wastecoast (is that british for vest?) in the Two Doctors--I want one. I would seriously wear it all the time, even in winter.

Yep...
Hum... not really (waste coat and vest are still 2 different types of garment) I guess it was more of a vest maybe (a waste coat is what he wears normally under his jacket) that's just me and my lack of knowledge when it comes to articles of clothing and what they're called... I thought the summer one might have been a different variation
I would love one too, once I have the gear for "normal adventures" 6, I might try and get hold of his gear from that too, but not for a good while, the jacket on it's own for his normal gears going to cost a good bit....

I tried about seven or eight years ago--lepoard-patterned shorts and shirt was my plan. But then I went to camp and outgrew the pattern. Oops.
Then I got taken off the High School's sewing team because they thought I couldn't pin straight...it was only a toga, after all!

Well, more technically my theatre department did, though I was usually in charge of lighting (which I liked a lot better) but sometimes multiple people had to do multiple jobs--hence why I was on the costume team at all. It didn't help that the stage manager was a jerkwad who literally didn't know the meaning of aquaintance!

Well, either way it probably looks awesome, he probably has a completely separate wardrobe for his 6th doctor clothes after he picked the first set, a whole row full of different coloured vests and waste coats, a rack with about 4 different varieties of the same jacket (including the blue one) and 10 drawers containing hundreds of different styles of ties!!! (oh and another 2 drawers full of different cat badges.)
I'd want his summer gear, his autumn gear, his winter gear AND his spring gear if he had any specifically, but before then the priority is to do a proper traditional outfit.

I think that blue cloak thing of his was particularly fab...
but I've always felt that the fourth doctor was the best dressed (if you look past the scarf, that is)

Yeah, I think his was ok but a bit to... brown, and red, I know earthy colours always worked with Tom, but I like more... outlandish shades, not just cause of my fondness for 6, but in general, I have ALWAYS loved colourful clothes... his style though is quite good.

hmmm...I guess I never really though about what "color scheme" I prefer..earthy colors, apparently! But I think six's style fits him very well, and reminds me (if you've seen Firefly??) of Wash's predilection for Hawaiian T-shirts. Of course, Wash is nothing like Six, so I'm not sure why I brought him up..

I do very often, but being on an art and design course I tend to have to think about colour more often than usual, I don't mind natural colours, but I like more interesting combinations too
Yeah, I wonder what would have happened if Colin had got his wish and had worn a costume of flat black, would he be as disliked as he was in multi colour, or would he be a more popular doctor than he had been (and still is to some people)
I haven't watched firefly but I can pretty much imagine what you mean.

I dunno...I mean, some people say they really can't stand him because of the coat (although that seems like a really shallow reason not to like a character), but I think black's too dull. He would've looked cool in the blue coat, though.

AlexE88 In reply to JansonKlivian-4-pres [2008-11-21 07:37:17 +0000 UTC]
I agree (I really don't like people who bitch about his jacket, but they always claim to have a different problem with him which never hold water because a lot of the other doctors were similar in those aspects.)
I know the blue would have been cool (I've seen computer edited clips of him in the blue gear, it looks good, but in any colour, 1 flat colour puts me off more than a whole load of them )

Yeah, that is the attitude I believe everyone should have, though you should still give a reasonable amount of respect for how someone else is, you should always do things the way you wish to.

like for instance, I am a major Doctor who fan, yet my pal Kaz is sick of hearing about it, and she tells me and tells me to do something else more... but trying to do something else unless it's college work (which I have to do) Makes me feel rather down and
so I just say (but not really to her face) stuff that, in my spare time I'll obsess over what I want to.

Kaz likes Doctor who too don't get me wrong (she's a mad 7 fan ) but she works a lot on other things too.
Ah yes, Harry Potter madness, I used to suffer that, still like Harry Potter, still plan on working on the fanfic project that has been going on for YEARS, I just like Doctor who a hell of a lot more now
I even plan on drawing Kaz and mine's 7 Harry Potter characters as the 7 Doctors that would have been seen during the time the HP series was set (I was thinking around 1994-ish) which is quite funny, because I created the characters BEFORE I knew any of the older Doctors, yet now I look back, I think (god my main character's a lot like 6 isn't she?...)

mmmm, interesting idea...
I once came up with the idea of (this is stupid, so don't laugh) the Doctors are regular people actually attending Hogwarts. mostly it was just an excuse to call them by the actors' first names and sort them (I was bored, kays?)
Anyway, One and Seven were Slytherin; Three and Eight were Ravenclaw (along with the second Romana); Five, Six, and Two were Hufflepuff; Four, Nine, and Ten were Gryffindor (along with the first Romana). Basically they just...went to school. Oh and Four, Two and Romana II terrorized the student body (is anyone surprised?)

Hahahahahahaha... that's acttually quite funny, and sounds like an interesting read. (I know I'd read it anyway) 1 and 7 in slytherin? cool, good think Kaz likes Slytherins isn't it (she fancies Snape btw) I think all the Docs are in the right Houses to be honest, but I can imagine some huge house type wars between the lot.
I think I will do the 7 Doctor cosplay pick now, since I have nothing better to do... I'll let you know when it's done if you want to see it.

yay, you like it! Although I doubt I will ever right it up...the weirdest thing about imagining it is that they're all school age, so One and Three suddenly have dark hair, which is hard to imagine... but whatever
