I feel like there are broader implications of superheroines (and, more rarely, superheroes) posing for pinups in magazines and the celebrity culture surrounding them that such a publication implies that are begging to be explored in a future story if it wasn't already in the e-book or something, but eh, a masked vigilante's gotta keep the lights on somehow. This one did turn out well, though - something about the smile and the rag mop hairdo really speak to me.

I definitely think of them like celebrities, and the "superheroes as supermodels" thing is an idea I've had for a while, though I'm afraid I haven't gone much into it. Heck,Ā I don't believe I've even mentioned it anywhere outside of Damnsel's interview. I've joked about some of my pinups being from a villain called Fauxtographer. And I imagine heroes get paparazzi, too.
It's safe to say, though, that not all the pictures are put up are "canon" photoshoots of the heroes, especially if the masks are off.
