Why even bother saving Skyrim? Julius's home was Cyrodiil, and his mix-up at the border was sheer chance. The dragon's attack further complicated matters.
At least, that's what Julius used to think. Things began to change when he met Lydia.
Things were professional (and slightly rocky) at first. She was assigned as his housecarl, and everything was strictly business with her (though she made it clear that she didn't enjoy carrying any extra equipment). As time passed, they began to chat more openly, and her calling him "my Thane" become less of a formality and more of a term of endearment.
Deciding to follow Skyrim's customs, Julius eventually presented her with an Amulet of Mara, and they were soon married in Riften afterward.

Why even bother saving Skyrim? To see her face one more time.
