Maybe it would be, if you stuck to saving kittens from trees and stopping the odd purse snatcher.” He stopped just in front of her, his face inches from hers. “But my business is sex trafficking, sweetheart. I sell beautiful girls like you to rich patrons who get off on pretty messed up shit. Some even have the means to nullify superpowers, so just imagine all the fun they could have with that tight body of yours.”
    He stopped again, and Fantasma looked away. He snagged her chin.
    “Unfortunately,” said Maddox, “you’ve been a real pain in my ass today. I’m going to have to relocate and set up shop elsewhere. New name, new face, the works. I don’t have the means to keep you in line until I’m back in business. I’m going to have to kill you.”
    He looked at his watch, then back to her. Her muscles tensed as he tightened his grip on her chin and pressed his waist up to hers, his other hand squeezing her bottom.
    “But I have time for a quick fuck.”

Captain Miracle vs the Human Trafficker    “Load them up and get them out of here,” said Mad Dog Maddox, human trafficker extraordinaire. His thugs pointed their guns and barked orders at a dozen women, each of them young, pretty, and abducted. Whimpering and sniffling, they obeyed and got into a semi-trailer, illegally marked as a Federal Freight vehicle.
    Mad Dog, or Maddy as his friends usually called him, adjusted his aviators and slicked back his greasy salt-and-pepper hair. He had worn his lucky Hawaiian shirt that day, and so far, it was paying off. These girls had just sold for millions, whereas one to two hundred thousand was his normal earning within a month.
    As the semi-trailer slammed shut, Maddy turned to the girls’ buyer, who was fidgeting in place. His thin brows were furrowed, and his bald head was reddening.
    “Buyer’s remorse, Skinner?” asked Maddy.
    Mr. Skinne.
