It's Raven, from Teen Titans. o.o I know you can't really tell with her all in realistic mode, but it's her.I got really fustrated with Jes's Commish. (That thing hates me) So I started to mess around and ended up linelessly CGing a sketch I had floating around my computer.
o.o
So yea, Raven, inspired by Bjork's Pagan Poetry. If it's any consolation, the song would be more of a romantic one for Raven x someone. (I picture BB, but that's just because that couple is everywhere on the net.)

I could tell it was her - especcially with the pic of Starfire you also had on your main page. I need to see that music video I think - I've been hearing a lot about it.

You can definatly tell it is Raven. ^^ You do her justice! Raven is one of my favorite Teen Titan characters. I love the facial expression, you make her look so real! The feathers all so add a nice touch...^^ it all most looks glittery...if you get what I mean..Like in CCS except not Cherry Blossoms, feathers. ^_^ Beautiful job!

Adobe Photoshop 6.0 n.n I just learned how to do this by studying other artists works. That's how I've learned to draw in the first place: studying others. Swing by Furiae or these deviants.
Find a nice picture, save it and englarge it. Take a real close look and ask yourself how they were able to do the things they do and experiment.

No, it's obvious that it's Raven. I had no problem recognizing her, anyway. 
Random observation: Also, it looks pretty cool if you squint at the screen. xP

I found a picture of real feathers, put them in the image and smudged them all soft. n.n; Then since they all had their own layer I chaged the color balance for each, a little dab of the burn and doge and bam, pretty feathers.

Oh god, that's simply wonderful. The shading to the contours of the face is amazing and the spacial expanse for the background...woo! There's a lot of detail to take in. Excellent work.

Aw, that's beautiful. I love how you shaded it... and it's all dark. Very much like her. The picture has a sorrowful mood... you can tell by her face. Great job with the realistic expression. You did awesomely here!
